FP7 ICT Challenge 2 - Cognitive Systems and Robotics Information Day

The ninth Call for Proposals of FP7 will be released on 18/01/2012 and will close on 17/04/2012 [tentative dates to be confirmed].
The Unit E5 of the Information Society and Media Directorate-General will organize an information event in Brussels on Tuesday, 15th November 2011 to present the activities, focus and goals of Challenge 2 "Cognitive Systems and Robotics" within this Call.

In the morning there will be a plenary session, with an opening address by Khalil Rouhana, Director, and a presentation by Libor Král, Head of Unit, with opportunity for questions and discussion.
This will be followed by a workshop where participants will have the possibility to present briefly their proposal ideas and expertise. An informal networking session in the afternoon will be organized for people interested in participating in projects. Workshop participants will also have the possibility to discuss their proposal ideas with Commission staff in bilateral meetings. A specific workshop session dedicated to Target(e) – "Speeding up progress towards smarter robots through targeted competitions", is also planned in the afternoon.

Participation in the event is free but requires pre-registration and confirmation.
Please note that, due to space constraints, the number of participants is strictly limited.
Participation will be confirmed on a first-come first-served basis and is limited to one representative per organization.
Only people who receive a confirmation will be allowed to attend the meeting.
